Iranian reformist leader Abdollah Nuri, who was out on a three-day leave from Evin prison, leaves his home on the way back to jail in Tehran 23 February 2000 [correction Nouri was given an extra 2 days of leave]. The 52-year-old former interior minister, who is serving a five-year sentence for spreading 'anti-Islamic' propaganda in his now-banned newspaper, hopes that the reformist victory in the new parliament could have an 'impact' on his possible liberation.
