Executive By-Law of Election Law of the Islamic Consultative Assembly - Approved in 1999 -

Chapter 9 - Tariffs and Ballots
Article 86: 
The Ministry of the Interior, after completion of attending to the letters of credit of all elected nominees in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, shall give order to the governor generals for destruction of all used tariffs and ballots inside the voting box.
Note 1: 
The Ministry of the Interior, to gather statistics and information relevant to the voters such as age, sex, marital status, education, etc. shall use the tariffs of the voters before issue of the order of destruction of the used ballots. Obviously, the votes of voters must be kept secret.
Note 2: 
In order to keep the documents relevant to election, the state election office shall send 3 boxes containing tariffs, ballots and the results process-verbal to the Islamic Revolution Documents Center.
Article 87:
The governor generals of polling stations, after receiving the order of the Ministry of the Interior for deduction of the used ballots and tariffs for election of Islamic Consultative Assembly, shall act accordingly in the presence of the members of the executive board and at least the central supervisory committee of polling station and then shall write up the related process-verbal.
Note:
Since the voting boxes of the sub-polling stations of religious minorities election are kept in the sub-polling stations and are not sent to the polling stations, the governor generals of Tehran and Isfahan as polling stations of religious minorities, shall notify the matter to the relevant sub-polling stations after receiving the order from the Ministry of the Interior, the sub-polling stations, then, shall take step in this regard and shall send 2 copies the relevant process-verbal to the polling station. The governor general of Tehran and Isfahan shall send a copy of this process-verbal along with a copy from the relevant process-verbal to the State Election Office.
Article 88:
The instructions and forms relevant to the Articles of the executive section shall be applied upon the approval of the Minister of the Interior.
