The Number of Candidates in the Election" |
| Single Article: |
| From the date of approval of this law, all elections (except the election of Assembly of Experts and State Councils) in different regional and national levels shall be conducted provided that the number of candidates is at least twice as the number of parliament seats available. |
| Note 1: |
| Where in some polling stations, the required number to be elected is more than three, the number of candidates should be at least 1.5 times the required number. |
| Note 2: |
| After termination of nomination respite, if one or some candidates resign or pass away, the election shall be held for the remaining candidate/s and this shall not halt the election. |
